My Satellite Setup
Strong 4375 driving a 2.4 m Channel Master dual focus offset + Invcom Quad C120 K/U l.n.b. + BSC 421 and Zinwell C band l.n.b.,s - DR HD F15 - TM5302 - Octagon SX88+Optima - GT Media V7 - HD receivers. + other dishes currently in use - Antique 3.0 m Prodelin P.F. - Channel Master 1.8 m offset - Channel Master. 1.2 m.
My Location
North West Yorkshire - near Lancashire & Cumbria borders.
I was testing the strength of nilesat vertical transponders for someone late last night - with a 1.2 dish - they seemed seemed stronger than i expected --

So i had a try using the 1.8 channel master -- and was amazed to get locked signals from 8 Horizontal transponders -- it just dosn,t happen with horizontals this far north normaly --with that size of dish
i,v only once before had H t.p.s from this sat -- last winter under very clear skies i locked on to 3 or 4
so to pick up eight and be able to view a number of them without any breakup under semi cloudy skies on the back edge of a storm was a big surprise -- :)
maybe the footprint has moved a bit ?? --they vanished during the day though as expected -- very clear sky tonight - so i,m hopefull they will show up again----

Yep, excellent. Can only get about 4 of those with no breakup here on my 1m dish at the moment.
Just watching some movie with Denzil Washington in it, on Infinity 1 on 12226H, cheers!

Edit can get all those that have FTA channels now, with a more sensitive tuner.

Yes, does seem to be a little stronger at the moment.

well done do the verticals seem higher too

yes it was noticing that the verticals were higher than normal and that quite a few were holding signal through the daytime - on a 1.2 metre dish that prompted me to have a look for the horizontals -- with the 1.8

under very clear skies last night all the same horizontals appeared again - between 10.00 and 11.00 pm and slowly gained strength up to midnight
one extra t.p. locked -
11881 H -- but its all encrypted so nothing to view --
the OSN package on 12073 H was showing F.T.A. last night though--
and i got un pixelated viewing from 12303 H that had not been possible the night before :)
i consider myself very lucky to have picked up H channels this far north - on a 1.8 dish and i,m sure it wont last very long ---
