After being caught out by a few petitions I'm not sure how much notice they take of them any more but this one worth putting your name to.

I'm sure I signed a similar one a year or two back.

Get these calls free now via BT.

Signed anyway!

It's only 0845 and 0870 that are free, or more correctly, included in you call package. Not everyone has them free at all times though. And almost certainly they won't be included in your call allowance if you use a mobile phone

0844 and 0871 are the nasty ones that I REALLY object to nowadays.

BTW can I remind you that your name won't be counted unless you click on the link in an email that they send you.

I think it's stupid, BT made the 0870 and 0845 numbers freefone numbers, then the companies and gov't bodies changed to 0844 and 0871, which are not free!!! I think BT shot themselves in the foot with that one, cos they should have made all 08xx numbers free...

All that said, as we're on VirginMedia, those numbers ain't free anyway, so, makes no difference to us unfortunately... :(

Why do they have to have these numbers anyway? What's wrong with using the numbers they point to? If I wanted to call the local job centre or the town hall, I used to be able to use a number with no area code, which makes it a Local number, these days, I have to call an 08 number and go through automated menus just to get through to a human being!!! 'O'-red

I think it's where "saynoto0870" comes in handy, cos they have a lot of handy numbers to get round them stupid money gathering numbers... :)

Why did my post end up looking like I pressed Return a lot???

Oh, just signed, and I happened to spot a famous name in there, though I'm not sure it's the same curly haired actor/comedian that played Jonathan Creek... :p

Yes, got it, thanks. Sneaky stuff.

I'd signed it anyway!
