no hdmi on comag sl100hd

i have just bought a comag sl100hd satellite reciever my problem is when i connect it to my tv via hdmi there is no signal but if i connect the scart lead it works what am i doing wrong it brand new.
 
Have you pressed the Source (or Video) button on your TV Remote Telecommander until HDMI is selected?

Not all TV/HD Receiver combos seem to auto-detect a change of source.
 
The handshake on HDMI on some TVs can be slow, in the worst case some take over 10 seconds to show a picture when the HDMI input is selected.

Fortunately, most TVs are instant.
