No internet connection available

Hi,
Im pulling my hair out please help a noob.
I have read the isiots guide a million times and scanned this and every other forum I can find. Its probably so easy no-one has bothered to document it.

I cannot get an internet connection with my box (An ITGATE TGM220, similar to a dreambox).
When selecting Retrieve Internet IP I get the error "!No internet connection available, please check all network connections"

I can FTP into the box, I have setup up a static Ip (although I see conflicts whether to have the box set as a dhcp or not, Ive tried both). I can access the boc through dyndns.org, but I cannot download any cams or update anything....

I have set 192.168.1.24 as the box IP
255.255.255
LAN
192.168.1.1
192.168.1.1
X Enable Network Port:80
MAc Address is OK

Then I click save and I get no network access.

Can someone PLEASE give me a kick up the arse. Its been days now and I have no nails left to chew!

Update: Installed V9, reset bouquets, scanned on Euro 28 now I can see an internet connection, no other changes made except a flash update except now I have no channels. and cannnot install cccam 2.4, just says installing and hangs there...
 
OK heres a full rundown of what ive done --several times!!!

I have an ITGate TGM220 with sat card same as a DReamBox I velieve.

Checked signal with existing SLY box. Incoming signal great
Flashed UR v.8 Ireland
Selected tv system pal
Selected English language
Saved GMT Timezone
Selected No DiSEqc
defaulted to Astra 19E
Selected eurobird/astra 28.2E
Done transponder scan - scanned 909 services and 118 transponders -
Found 72 new transponders
645 New TV services
84 new radio stations
180 new data services ??

pressed setup. expert set up,communication
IP 192.168.1.24 DHCP checked (I have this set as static IP on ITGATE)
255.255.255.0
:LAN
Nameserver and Gateway 192.168.1.1
Enabled Network checked Port :80
Mac address (OK)
clicked save

Set up LAN DYNDNS
user: Damixa
Pass: OK
Alias: Damixa
domain: dyndns.org

Selected retreive internet IP - No connection available , check connections
(This gave me an IP and said was OK when I flashed with v9, although would still not download or connect to the internet)

Changed ITGATE password.

FTP OK

uploaded new SLY channel bouquet -
rebooted
system then seen all channels but played only FTA channels

Placed extra url and cccam_2.1.4_full.tar.gz into tmp folder.
Chmoded both 755

pressed blue button twice addon manager
selected manual (yellow)
selected cccam_2.1.4_full.tar.gz to install
Installed cccam_2.1.4_full.tar.gz

rebooted

Default softcam is Hypercan (IRE)
Cannot select cccam 2.14 as default softcam
rebooted
Can see only 2 softcams "Hypercam [IRE]" and "Commom Interface" channels

So I can see FTA, cannot select cccam 214 but can see config file in var/etc

Questions are many, but mainly....to see more than FTA Do I need a cline in the config file? Where can I get a cline to test this installation. I have tried on several forums but noone has replied. Am I asking the wrong question? and why wont my box connect to the internet. I can FTP into it and damixa.dyndns works fine with VLC.

HELP PLEASE!
