Hi all

Stepping back into sats fter going to sky for a while .

So the last equipment i had was a pace mss500i and a phillips dmac decoder for 1W, when they broke i switched to sky.

I have now got the same 1M solid dish and a twin lnb and a Jaeger silent gold H-H all from years ago, with a humax foxsat hdr freesat reciever on the sky dish.
i have now removed the sky dish connected the receiver to the 1M dish and used a 18v drill battery to make shure the dish moves around the arc okay, left the dish on 28.5e for the moment till i find out more info.

So do i go for a SuperJack V-Box II or was told to get a superior dark motor.

Any help please

Robert

Is the dish steel or aluminium?

If Aluminium, a TM2600 H-H should be ok. Might do for a steel dish too, if the site is reasonably sheltered.

Maybe treat yourself to a new LNB, too. Inverto Black Ultra is today's weapon of choice.

Stick with the 36v motor and get a Vbox positioner.

If it works, don't fix it! :)

Until then you could use the Pace positioner part, and loop through the HDR to get the last of the analogue signals, if not to watch, then to confirm where the satellites are

i would get the vbox and connect it to the receiver, not sure but i think they have a non-freesat mode and use diseqc 1.2 with the vbox to move the dish around.
