The picture shows someones brave attempt at installing two receivers from one dish.:-rofl2

For some reason it wasn'r working properly, the Sky box was reporting 'No satellite signal is being received'.... strange.:-rofl2

The previous occupant was rumoured to be an electician, and not a very good one at that.

Hells bells what a bodge job. Thats as good as some of the efforts pictured on the Wrights Aerials website :D

Nice example

I have seen worse, though the camera on the phone didn't pick it up well enough to transfer here. How about creating the image in your mind of a cable which has been severed at the front of the house, but with no proper connectors available, the 'expert' has pulled what little excess cable below the window frame, and then pinned inner / inner and outer/outer together using tacks under the sill.

10/10 for creativity (and he received sixty quid for the callout), but 0/10 when it turned out that stretching the cable pulled the dish out of alignment - which I had to barter - sixty-five to put everything straight.

LOL, unfortunately there are too many jobs like that around.:)

Now there is an idea, a Bodgit Section all of their own

Just to top it off, the picture also doesn't show that the cable used was ordinary TV coax. (a shortish 10m run) The problem was that this mess was hidden away inside an airing cupboard, so it took quite a while to isolate where the fault was, I was just about to give up and run a new cable, when I thought I'd have one last check. It was working like this for approx five years apparently.:-rofl2
