No SCART switching

I have just had a second Thompson box fitted and when you press the SKY button it automatically switches to the EXT SCART

I'd like my original PanasonicTUDSB30 to work the same way - currently it's set up to switch to Channel 5.

The DVD automatically switches to EXT 2 and by swapping leads I have proved that apparently the Panasonic is not putting out the 12v on pin 8.
What is confusing, at least for me, is that if I unplug the SCART lead and re-plug it in, then the TV goes to EXT 1 as expected.

Is there anything I can do to the box to make it send this signal when the SKY button is pressed ?

I had a similar problem - I bought a "Smart SCART" box, which has it's own 12v power supply to get round the problem. I think Maplins sell them...

Presently I have another Digibox on the way. If that doesn't work either I'll give the Smart Scart box a go.

hi have a look in the menu you can on some models actually switch the 12 volt output on or off hope this helps
 
Yea, in one of the services > setup menus there should be an option to enable scart control, it should then allow output the 'on' signal on the scart whenever the sky box is on. :)
