i do have Octagon sf228 e2 box and I'm trying set up for hispasat 30 w ,I'm using openvix.... every time i set up manual or auto scan doesn't find channels , doesn't ready signal ....not problem off lnb our dish i do have vu duo already whit hispasat ..every time i do dinsqc auto source only ready Astra hotbird satellite and stop saying nothing there ....need some advice .

Welcome to the forum. Have you ever had it working on any satellite? For Hispasat 10890V 27500 3/4 DVB-S is nice & strong in the UK so thats a good one to aim for.

Which channel(s) are you wanting in particular as to be honest theres not really much of interest fta on 30W these days!
full Portuguese ,MEO nos tv all channels ...i tried already 10890v 27500 for some reason box not getting signal at alll

Do you have a signal amplifier between the Lnb & your satellite box ?
i did try whit amplifier no signal ...i will reset from factory box try again s

Neo channels are secure encrypted. You will need an official receiver to watch them
normal i use cccam whit dreambox set up .openvix our openatv ..never had issue boxes {vu oct gemma etc} some reason this box octa 228 not working p

Why I mentioned it was that an amplifier can block some frequencies,
Is your Lnb frequency setting set @ 9750/10600 ?
for some reason just read astra satellite all settings are normal like others boxes done in past ...upload file whit satellites.xml ...not been able to do nothing this 3 days im away working but definitly looking in settings on weekend ..thank you for helping
