My Satellite Setup
a sky mini dish + a Dreambox 600S with Gemini- 430 and CCcam 2.0.8
My Location
Cornwall UK
Hi,

I have just installed a motorised dish. I dont have a meter but I have got 90% snr on hotbird, astra, eurobird, turksat................now some of the other sats the the SNR is only 67% so obviously it needs a bit of tweaking............but my problem is I am using gemini image and there is no option for Thor 1W i.e. it is not listed in the satellite list.......am I doing something wrong or have I got a dodgy image?

Is there a listing for Intelsat 10.02?

For Cornwall you should be looking to setup on 5W and I don't see that listed above, how did you align for due South?

I spoke to an installer and he told me to find hotbird then astra then digiturk which I did........now I just did a scan on 5W and i get 92% snr and 62 tv channels.........still no sign of thor 1W on the image though..........is this the correct number of tv channels for this sat

Hi Nano could you expand on that a little please when I go to sat config it is not in there either it goes from Telecom2C (3.0E) to Amos1/2 (4.0W)..........there is an Intelsat 7/10 (68.5E) ........but cant see thor 1W or anything similar

You have to go into transponder edit and make a new satellite by pressing i think the red or possibly green button. It does say, but its been a while since i used Gemini.

Sat position is set at 8 west for 0.8 west or 10 if you want to set as 1w

tick the first 2 boxes, one is network scan, can't remember off hand what the other one is, but like i said tick the first 2 boxes.

press green to save.

Add a few transponder details (You find them at _www.lyngsat.com) using the add box in transponder edit.

Once done press green to save

Go into satellite configuration and scroll down and then press he required colored button to add. (Like i said this is going off memory)

Scroll down until you see the new satellite, its usually at the bottom of the list and add it.

If you get stuck i'll get the ipbox out and do some Gemini screenshots later on for you. Won't be until later this evening though.

Let me know how you get on

Oh OK, can't see the logic in that, but it takes all sorts. :-rofl2

Sounds about right from memory.

On any Gemini image I've ever used its preconfigured and listed as.......

Intelsat 10-02/Thor 3/5 0.8W

I have gone into Transponder edit..............and that is the only place that it is listed..........that only allows you too edit the transponders and it already has a list of them associated with it........but when I come back out to the menu in any of the functions that allow me to scan........... thor 0.8W is not listed anywhere

You need to go into the satellites menu and select it.

Go into transponder edit until you see the screen in the first picture.

If you look at the bottom its says "(green) add new"

Press the green button and you get the screen in picture 2

You then enter the new name and set it up as the picture shows :-worship

I used this method to add Eutelsat W2M at 3.1e. Don't forget to press green to save the config.

You then go back into sat config and add the satellite, press yellow button and then scroll down until you find the new sat. press green

See pic 3

You then add the new transponders (Pic 4). Hi light the new sat and scroll onto add, press OK and just enter the transponders you need :-righton

You will only need a few, One from Telenor, 1 from Focussat and 1 from Digi TV. The network scan should find the rest, providing you've ticked both boxes.

Hope this helps as I'm putting ABCom enigma back on my IPbox now, so its no more piccies I'm afraid
