Forgive me if this has been asked before but I couldn't find anything on a search. In a nutshell, if I get a Freesat card linked to a Northern Ireland address will this also unlock RTE?
Thanks in advance.

Don't think so, the RTE channels are only available on a Southern subscription.

Thanks, thought that plan sounded too good to be true!
I believe if I subscribe to a Sky package from an NI address, I will be able to watch Setanta Ireland (for extra money!) and RTE. That will be important next season when Setanta Ireland but not Setanta UK have the Premiership 3pm Saturday rights.

Hmmm - no offence to Rolf but I think you would get it - as RTE is in all the Ireland packages N and S. It's one of the classic ways for a UK subscriber to get to see the hurling! If it isn't heresy then can I suggest to take a look on www. boards. ie - it's a fairly regular question there
Slainte to ye both!
P.S. I'm watching Setatanta Ireland in Wales with a NASN subscrition

As far as i know RTE1-2 AND TG4 are on the NI Sky EPG.
It all part of NI Good Friday Agg. To share both sides.
But it dose not show CopyRight stuff if BBC NI have CP for NI.:)

Yep, your 100% right. RTE, TV3 and TG4 is included on the SKY packages in all of Ireland (North as well as South) except for certain programs in the north which are blocked due to copyright reasons...

Still, they're not availble through any other means via SAT though.

Hurrrrraaaahhhh for TG4... (Ehhhrrrr WHAT?)
