And the fun starts. Received the box, which is actually quite highly specced. Even has a 2Mb VRAM module.
Sadly, the CMOS battery died and leaked all over the place causing some board damage. This is not allowing the computer to boot... er.. well, it does boot and makes mostly the right sounds but it's not displaying anything. And it only does it sometimes.
Thankfully, full schematics are available and I've already found at least 3 track breaks around the leakage area. Need to clean it up with some white vinegar and then clean that up with some isopropyl and distilled water (not blessed with soft water down here). Then reflux everything and repair the breaks - most likely just bypassing the tracks altogether with normal wire....
