Any info please!!!
I have a Golden interstar 8005ci Premium. what do i need to do to my Rx to get encrypted channels etc?Can i download anything? do i need to buy anything?
I can receive most satellites on my dish from 28.2E round to hispasat no problem.i'm guessing hotbird or astra 19 offers the most channels
as you can tell im just a novice but want to learn as much as poss

You need to remember that encrypted pacakges come and go. Even the ones that are easily opened (SRG & TPS) for starters will be going secure in the near future. Theres plenty of info on the forum about whats needed for Interstar receivers, so have a play with the search function.
 
thanks for your reply trouble is everytime i put in interstar i get sent to the portuguese section!!!! I dont have a cam for my 8005 and my software is over a year old i have heard that this RX is embedded with a cam emulator and am guessing that i need to update my software and maybe download something else to be able me to get some pay channels for zilch!! i have done it on an illusion m3 for nagravision but not sure which way to turn for this interstar

Use the advanced search and restrict yourself to the Receiver Software section. Using "Interstar" as the search term brings up 84 English language threads which should keep you going for a couple of days. :D

Click on the search link up the top of the forum, then on the advanced button down the bottom of the search tab
