E, able to receive analog channel but snowy, I have even ugraded my Dish from 6ft solid to 8ft solid type but not able to receive the digital stations from this satellite especially Sun TV channels.
The feedhorn is chappral coroto II plus fitted with Super California LNBs C & KU bands, the Dish is moving type. able to receive from Thaicom 2 & 3, Panasat 7 & 10, Asiasat 2, Asiasat 3s , Insat 2b,3e .
Can anyone help.

If you have a snowy picture on analogue there is a good chance that digital reception will not happen.

I would first try to get the front end of the dish cleaned up by using a dedicated feed and LNB for this satellite. This means getting rid of the CoRotor and finding a feed with a matched illumination to the F/D of the dish

What make of dish is it ?

The f/d ratio of the dish equates to the angles required by the feed for optimum illumination

The figure could be anwhere from 0.3 to about 0.5 depending on the dish parameters

Feeds range from 35 to 55 degrees on average

Still sounds like the best cure would be to check the dish for accuracy in reflector shape / pointing accuracy

The Zinwell is probably not the best choice for a quality built LNB

What options does your local shop or dealer have to offer ?

The main details to look for are (funnily enough , not noise figure with C band ) Stability , phase noise

The better the stability, the easier it is for the receiver to accurately lock onto the centre of the required transponder

The better the phase noise, the better the final output signal to noise ratio

They all appear to be local brand names of other manufacturers.

Ive seen Super California in a number of Dubai outlets.

You should really be looking for something from California Amplifier, Chaparral (though these vary in quality) and maybe Gardiner (if you can still find one).
