I read a newsgroup post that implied that NTL cable boxes could be modified with a programmed EPROM, which would then enable decrypted viewing.

I’m interested un UK NTL - and wondered if anyone else could comment on the validity of this rumour. If it is true, a pointer to schematics / firmware / more info would be very much appreciated.
