I used to find WiFi adapters too fickle, so resorted instead to Homeplugs/Ethernet.

This discussion has reminded me to try WiFi again, as there's now a Repeater within spitting distance of the box concerned.

I got a message from Octagon through Facebook messenger which says "the current chipset will not support DD+. The SX88+ new model will come out in 2 weeks which will support dd+"

But how the price will compare with the Edision Primo, we shall have to wait and see.

@stephan94 clearly Octagon have listened to user comments - It's quite an undertaking to bring out revised hardware, as per the upcoming SX88+, to solve the DD+ conundrum. Not just a relatively simple firmware upgrade, but a different chipset.

I didn’t see the same question ten times, I know a few other people also posted comments on that page they also removed them.

The best answer they could come up with is buy the new box, so yes I did tell them that I thought they had dropped the ball on that one.

No, I'm not an Octagon employee, but you can think what you want.
On the other hand I read what is written in the Octagon forum and I can tell you that this question has been asked a lot of times, because many people do not read unfortunately that has already been answered before asking this question.
to write always the same thing is useless.

I have an Octagon sx88 - Does anyone know if I buy a sound bar and connect it to the audio output socket on the Octagon 88 satellite receiver if it will produce live French sound on 5 west?

No, been tried with a DD audio amp, does not work. The chipset in the current model does not support DD.

And the subsequent howls of outrage if Suppliers try to fulfil new orders with old stock .....
