Newer version of the SX88 due imminently.

Seems to be in response to demand for Dolby D+ capability, requiring a different chipset from the SX88 and the acquisition of a Licence.

Not sure if they are any other new features, or what the price will be.

Supposed to be released in February. This year.

Eyes and wallets peeled.

I asked about 4:2:2 and they said this receiver won't have it. Just in case anyone was wondering.

Does the Edision version of this do 4:2:2?

I've had the cash set aside for weeks ...... still want to know which box to get :oops:

Have a read up with Google. There appears to be vastly different views on this receiver. If it were me I would wait until there are a few reviews from buyers.

That's the SX88. We already have a massively long Thread about it.

The SX88+ is a revised model that hasn't yet been released, but which we know has a revised chipset and overcomes the significant previous lack of Dolby D+ decoding ability.

Of that, I think we can be fairly sure ..... We believe the DD+ capability is the only significant change and that otherwise the two variants will be much the same.

yep the only difference will be the DD+ decoding.
 
According to the latest information, the new SX88 should arrive in 10 days.

It's nearly March and still no sign of this box, hope it's here in those 10 days.
