Blubber, anyone?
Yes please, fried with salt pepper and curry sauce:(
Although not unexpected, bye bye Roy and the boys, once again. Time to change the management, and sack ALL the overpaid prima donna´s that wear the shirt.
Come on Wales!

Bit of an odd rant!

But most people I have asked: when you were at school, were you allowed to stand in the playground screaming??

I know I wasn't allowed, and a teacher would tell us to shut up!

Now I don't mind the sound of children playing, but I do object to screaming!

So I was talking to some of the residents around the school, and it seems I am not the only person the screaming is pi$$ing off.

(Listen to the song the old school yard - by cat Stevens) the school yard sounds are recorded from a real school in the 60's

And sadly, in modern times children no longer play it seems, they just scream!

I blame the Parents.

So many of them have no sense of decorum and fail to instil discipline.

Instead they "know their Rights", yet are not familiar with the counterbalancing concept of "Responsibility".

Yeah I think you are right! Sadly. The parents park across my driveway and sometimes on it! And in the school gates on zig zags. And yellow lines, well most just don't show any form of consideration to wards others! I can't show you all the photos as they have been sent to the school/parking enforcement! And of course as it has the reg of the car in the photos, it would be a breach of the data protection act!

[Meldrew]Well that's another thing.

Mollycoddling.

I used to walk over two miles each way to and from school, come rain or shine.

Nowadays the children might just as well not have legs.[/Meldrew]

I sent an email to the head teacher, this is the paragraph of her answer over the screaming.

"Thank you for your email.

The sounds of children screaming is something we would find very difficult to prevent. There are always teachers and teaching assistants on duty, but we do not prevent the children from making noise, in any form at playtime as they need to let off steam after working hard during their lessons. "

So sadly there is no hope! Just wait until they are grown up!

Now I sound like an old man!

If you are feeling especially bloody-minded you could always ask your Council's Noise Control Officer to take an interest!

That might be my next option, I don't want to moan about the sound of them playing, I don't mind that. By the screaming at the start of school and every break time and lunch time.

It's that loud it can block out the sirens going up and down the road oh and block the sound of the helicopters over head!

And to top it all off, this year the school will take another 60+ children on top of the normal intake.

So the problem is only going to get worse!

Well I know they aren't at that school as its infants/juniors!

But you try putting up with it for 3 1/2 years and see how you would like it!

Some of the other residents phones the police once, as the screaming was so loud that she thought some one was being injured or worse!

She live on the other side of the school! And well away from the playground!

Wow.....Chris, you need to be careful:-

1) Going DEAF with reference to the above posts.
2) and going BLIND according to 'woborny' who says... 'Your all going to go blind '..... in this post:-

Must admit that I like things so so and quiet'ish in my life., so Chris can respect your feelings.

Best wishes. respect-048.gif
