Has the spell checker become worse? In iOS 10?

As I am having some trouble with the spell checker, I type what I want to say, come back 2 mins later and the dam thing has change it.

Good job we don't have a Nest 'stat in this house, just a cheapo wireless thing that came with the boiler & turns the boiler on or off at the right temperature, rather than connects to t'internet to send usage data to some anonymous corporation that sells it on to someone else...
