Not much more than that to get an official Box/Card combo!

Good for there to be options, though.

I guess the main difference is that with this CAM a person will be able to view the RAI HD channel (starting 11 june) for the World Cup matches, providing it's used in a HD receiver of course. At the moment there are no Tivu'sat HD decoders.
regards
D.

you're right mate, despite it's not CI+, it's Tivusat certified and works with RAI HD channel and the upcoming non-pay HD channels

Hi there,

Just returned from Italy with 2 new Tivusat Smarcam & Smartcards @ 85.00 euro each and I can confirm the following

a) Tivusat Smarcam does NOT work on Humax 5400, even with upgrade to Toh 3.4_Hot 11

b) Samsung 2 DTT PPV Smarcam Does work on/off, as long as the decoder is booted on La7 and left to activate for 10 secs, then all is fine when running, switching to channels is no problem. If you switch the decoder off, you have to boot from La7 again!

c) Should have bought a Humax Combo 9000, would have saved me all the hastle!

Have been following TiVu sat website and a few weeks back they listed the Fuba ODE820 HD as being compatible.
I live in the mountains at the northern end of Lazio and can't see the terrestial signal (which is always hiccupping)
so have been looking for an HD set TiVu compatible. Notice however it is no longer on the site. Any info??

Fuba ODE820 HD is "Tivusat CAM" compatible (see others at www _ tivu.tv/sat/prodotti/149/151/178/SmarCAM-tivusat.aspx) but has no cardreader

without CAM, ther's no HD box suitable for Tivusat yet

Sure, needs the CAM and card but from what little I have read (understood?) is that the problem lies with the Nagravision being rcvr specific almost, else any CAM equipped rcvr would work? Don't know the ins and outs of it. Anyone help please?

c) Samsung (2) DTT PPV Smarcam tested and works 100% on any channel from boot and also reads the smartcard number, also very smooth and fast!

If you want to kep your current Humax or other Decoder and have a Rai Abbonamento, you can order your Tivusat Smartcard from Rai Tv on line, I think they charge 40 euro and purchase a Samsung (2) DTT ppv Smarcam on ebay.it from £50.00 inc delivery to uk = Total £80.00

d) The other option is to buy a Humax Combo 9000 & Tivusat Smartcard included for 150.00 euro, and this will save you all the hastle!

Let me re-phrase that: Any CI equipped rcvr should be compatible with the CAM and its card - that's why it's SUPPOSED to be a Common Interface? Or is that just wishful thinking??
