Tp that should be H are scanning in V with stronger signal quality even though there still is quality on H as well.

So ..a quick question ...
I have seen in the past a flat scalar plate with customary 3 rings but stretched such that a second Cband lnb can be inserted next to and touching the first lnb ..
Where on earth does one buy such a thing ??
anyone..?

That sounds to me like your Ku linear lnb is incorrectly skewed ...OR you are looking at Ku circular signals with a linear lnb
Or vice versa ..
Looking at linear signals with a circular lnb (ku)
Such signals do exist in the USA as they do in Russia,,

Just curious VS, would the circular c band lnbf next to it have any effect?

You don't. Look at my mod, but cut both the rings dead straight. Then screw it together at the back how I've done.

Well it does exist ..and I would like to get hold of one ..
Looks like this ...
but I've seen variations..
Huevos ..
I can't really mount to the scalar plate as you do as my mount is constructed such that the lnb body is gripped at the focus ..and the scalar plate free to move ..

I don't know what you mean. My LNB is attached by the body too.

Siamese scalars. In this case both LNBs are offset, but only by a small amount.

I have couple of LNBs for PFA, they do not need any scalar rings at all (according to seller). Till now I did not try them.

I don't know what you mean. My LNB is attached by the body too.
Went back and took a closer look at your photos Huevos ..
Yes indeed the Zinwell is body supported ...
My old eyes you know ..
Wasn't immediately apparent to me ..
But I'd still love to have one of those stretched dual mounts ..
Failing that the Siamese option also looks good but again I'd have to make major changes as I use a Corotor Scalar at the focus..
Rima ?
How do you dx those weak signals mate without a scalar feed ?
But then again ...if your dish is big enough ..
Chances are you wont need one.
I am constantly working at the edge of reception..
Typical example..
Cholusat 43W
It's a minor miracle I lock it at all at my location..
Very much time of day..
Without a scalar feed ,,
Nothing ..not even a hint of signal.
With the scalar I can lock it (sometimes) correctly placed
Move the scalar forward or back 1cm ...
Nothing..
This is DXing at the fringe for me.
I enjoy it and will try most anything to get that last 0.1db

Simply cuz those LNBs have opening angle 120*, which is exactly what you need for PFA. But, as I've said, personally did not try those LNBs yet.

I'd be very interested in the results when you do try them mate..

You can do it yourself M8, just pay shipment Brussels - Your location, do some trials and send LNB back to me.

If only it was that simple m8 ..
I'd need to create a method of mounting such a wide throated lnb on my tripod as it was designed to take standard lnbs and has a hole in steel plate through which the lnbs waveguide must pass ..
;)

To fix 40mm LNB in C-band LNB holder (usually 60mm) I use plastic rings as an adapter. Simliest way to do such an adapter is just to wrap 40mm LNB neck by for example insulation tape.

Here is my setup ..
Perhaps I overkilled the design ..
but it works well enough ..
there are even spring tensioners to adjust the mount plates tilt to get absolute accuracy on the look angle..
