Offset LNBs for 13 & 19, whilst pointing at 29. Can it be done?

I hope my titling makes some sense.

My 1.3 dish points at Astra2 as it's fringe reception here in Portugal, but is the angle too far out for me to get Hotbird & Astra1 with the LNBs well offset?

I ask as the poorly made ancient dish I get them from has suffered in the recent gales.

I know this isn't the way to do it living in the UK so I guess few will have tried unless living in an EU banana republic
 
Well looking at the footprints for Astra1 and for Hotbird, my educated guess is that 19.2E should be a doddle (Apart from 1H, maybe), but Hotbird might not be a dead cert.

The EIRP is about 49/50dBW for you which means you'd need the offset to perform equivalent to a 60cm dish focussed on 13E.

I'm afraid you'd either need to rely upon advice from someone in Portugal with a similar system or to become a pioneer and give it a try.

I should think, if you are DiY friendly, it would be worth a go.

Either that, or just replace the poorly dish that you refer to!
 
Why don't you give it a try and see?

I've tried Hotbird, with a dish focussed on 26E, but Hotbird was too weak due to( I think) one of the rods supporting the LNB arm getting in the way.

As above though, 19E should be a go-er.

looking at 13,16 and 19 if you have a good size dish is no problem .
probally a 80 cm dish.
keep in mind each beam will be a little lower than the centerlized beam.
if you use a different dish configeration called a terodial you can mount 5 or 6 lnbs to diff satellites.
looking at 26 and seeing 13 and 19 will be a trick with a normal dish.
the signal will be to low.

When/IF! it stops chucking it down, I will have a play.
At the moment much of southern Europe seems to want to convert to a lake :(
