Old S*Y Cards

Azbox premium HD+,Dusty Dreambox 7000s,& Sky HD.
My Location
Dublin....Ireland
Can old S*Y cards be used for anything now. ie can you erase the data on them and use them for programming other channels. have old annalogue one and digital or should i just throw them out.
 
Keep them for those icy winter mornings, they fit neatly in the glove compartment. :)

I use my barry manilow cassette case covers for that.

My mate had all his cassettes stolen from his car - all except the Barry Manilow ones.

So do people buy old Sky cards on ebay then? Why?

Quite a lot of people buy cards on Ebay - some are anoraks (sorry, collectors) but some just hope that they can get the cards working again. About as much chance of that as of winning Lotto Extra. But, if they want to spend their money !?!
 
Official line is that you do not own the card - Sky do - and require you to return it if you receive an updated one or stop subscribing.

Anyone ever done this?
