Just tried that but it seems you can't save a satellite on the SX88+ if its set to no motor (off). Its either Usals or DiESeC 1.2. I know if I delete the satellite position number 15 it also deletes the satellite from the SX88+ database.I don't think you can specify the position number on the Technomate either, and no you can't specify a frequency range to search on the Octagon, it's like that on most receivers these days
Another option is to set the sat you were trying to save as pos16 to 'no motor', and just carry on from the next satellite that was supposed to be 17. Then when you get to the end of your list go back the satellite that was supposed to be pos16, drive the motor to peak the dish and then save the satellite to whatever position number comes next. The position numbers won't match but each receiver should send the dish to the correct place.
I have a dummy satellite coming up at number 19 on my list so I'll try to gain back the place then.
Just had a firmware update on the SX88+. Don't know what it does though ?
