Ivor the Engine, Noggin the Nog, The Clangers, and Bagpuss to name just a few.

The Clangers for me. Not the reruns, the original showings (showing my age)

Truly distinctive and versatile, will be missed by children of all ages.

He had such a distinctive voice with that slightly abrupt way of talking.

Just hearing it on the news this evening took me straight back to the sixties.
 
Just like Llew, I enjoyed watching the clangers with my children.
Did not realise that he was in all those shows, RIP.

The Clangers are my favourite.

Apparently OP got told off when one of the films was shown to the BBC - one of the bigwigs correctly interpreted the Clanger whistling as --> "oh sod I cant get the bloody door open" :-lmao :-rofl2

Then Ivor The Engine. Another classic. :)
 
They were all brilliant, used to love the Clangers. :) A brilliant writer and entertainer. :)
 
He will be missed, however his name will always be on those credits in recognition of the excellent work he did
 
I remember Ivor the Engine, The Clangers, and Bagpuss but not Noggin the Nog.
 
Noggin the Nog was brilliant, I was Seven when this episode came out. :)
