Personally I cant be bothered really - OH wants to go and see the Olympic flame when its coming through the town, but I wont be wasting my time doing that - she can go with someone from her office!

I'll be far more interested in the satellite feeds, and finding which countries are showing some coverage.

No satellite stuff for the moment (aside from a 43cm minidish that was on the house already), Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 Smart TV & Monitor, and a few computers...

I'm not into sports, so might just use the time to go do anything but watch the games, my Betamax, VHS and DVD collection may be delved into often, that's for sure.... :D

Might even try netflix, though that's no firm plan as yet though... :p

...Not even slightly sports orientated myself ...
..but have to confess to getting a _bit_ involved with the ashes when Freddie Flintoff was at his peak.
I suspect it'll cause much chaos in Londinium...not often I'm glad to be this far North ...but in this case...
;)
Might prove its worth to grab a few interesting testcards and feeds
I'd rather watch a good movie ...or play nice with Christina.

Used to love the Olympics until around twenty years ago, but it no longer has the kudos is deserves, for all sorts of reasons.

But will no doubt watch a few events like Track & Field, Cycling and Counterpane Hurdling.

But mainly, like an earlier Poster, I shall be in the garden farting.

And the fact that it is in London excites me not one jot.

It does seem a bit strange, with the Olympics being held in my 'home' country but living elsewhere. I almost feel that I'm obliged to watch because I'm not there. I am patriotic though not jingoistic and will probably get a bit emotional when GB wins a gold. Not all of the sports interest me but I'll probably make an effort to see the athletics, rowing, cycling and maybe some martial arts. (which is strange considering I'm the most unathletic person I know)

Not only will I not be watching I won't be in the country. I'll go further - literally - as I hope to be touring Europe again.

And as for the torch farce I am profoundly unimpressed by the sop to Wirralians wherebye the torch merely nips over from Liverpool to Birkenhead Park and then back again as soon as is decently possible.

At least it won't get nicked in Birkenhead.

Bisley would have been a venue I would have paid to see.

I will be thinking of those that got turfed out of Stratford with compulsory purchase orders from the 'ex' mayor to create the des-res area after the games.

I can't be bothered to watch it in all honesty. Sports bores the pants off me.

The way i see the Olympics is the same way as Al Murray see its.

Its going to be a bit S**t :-lmao

It may only be worth watching just to see if Boris Johnson makes a tit of himself :D

True enough, but you're talking to the person who forged a note from his Mum, which kept him out of 'games' for two years. The only reason I'd run 100 metres would be if there was a free Mars Bar at the end....

I can't wait for the charade to be over and done with. My take is that knowing the U.K., this is going to one
giant Pigs Butt to eclipse all other Pigs Butts over the years. :)
