After having all sorts of problems with an online retailer regarding the purchase of a cheap notebook PC for my older daughter I'm left with her birthday approaching and being empty handed. Anyway, I have Medion notebook I wish to give her in the chance I can't resolve the issue in time to source another reasonably priced replacement. So Windows 10, is there a simple way to wipe what little personal data is on the P.C. so its a virgin state afterwards? I'm looking for the Windows version of Androids "factory reset" but without worrying the bloody thing will reboot with devices not working because some how drivers have been wiped ect. Cheers ears.
 
Walmart has new laptops for around $350 US, and refurbed laptops for about $180 US.....But I don't think you have a red neck game preserve (what we call Walmart) around your neck of the woods.

And if you totally wipe the hard drive all motherboard drivers will go with it, you may get lucky and be able to find them on the manufactures web site and down load them to a CD, but wiping the hard drive will wipe the hardware drivers out.

You could do a recovery CD?DVD and then do a wipe, this will dump all the personal stuff and then let you recover the OS, also some systems come with the OS stored on a "D" or "E" partition on the hard drive, you may be able to do a recovery (with a recovery disk) after doing a wipe of just the "C" drive, but it's is best to have the hardware drivers on a second disk before doing this.
 
Well a simple method which does away with updating for hours on end is to make a new user in her name, but make it administrator account, then login to new account and delete your old account and also choose option to delete all files, everything will be updated and all web cashes will be clean on her account, then create a new user for yourself, make your account admin and drop her account to regular user. Thus if she cocks something up you can always use your admin account to bale her out.
 
Nice Topper, like that Idea, theres next to nothing on it, think sum total I've used the thing about 5-6 times, enough to know android makes for a far smoother web browsing experience. That "Edge" is complete sh#t.
 
Running something like O&O Shutup 10 (it's free) can stop an awful lot of W10's intrusive and reporting - already installed on the 4x W10 machines here.
 
PS: there is also a lot of info "out there" on uninstalling MS Edge from a W10 installation - but do make sure you have another browser installed before you do (otherwise "Catch 22")

Walmart will see none of my money nor will Amazon their treatment of employees is disgusting, I buy bugger all whatsoever from these two shower of c#*t's ;-)
