What digital spirit levels are you guys using?

I got this one from Amazon some time back, Digi-Pas DWL80E 0.1 Degree Mini Pocket-Size Digital Level/ Angle Gauge/ Protractor/ Inclinometer. It's accurate to 0.1 of a degree.

...

I use either a SOLATRONIC EN 17 or a Digi Pas (model DWL-80Pro).

I have had the SOLATRONIC for at least 15 years and even though it has been used a lot it still has the plastic film across the screen. The Digi-Pas will read out to 0.05 degrees but I am not convinced that is its level of accuracy. I think both models can be safely relied upon for 0.1 degree accuracy. The Digi Pas has a magnetic strip on the base which is handy whereas the SOLATRONIC does not.

This one. magnetic so it helps when adjusting needs 2 hands.
amazon.co.uk/Wixey-Digital-Angle-magnetic-backlight/dp/B00T3E19QI/ref=sr_1_29?s=diy&ie=UTF8&qid=1519893851&sr=1-29&keywords=digital+level

Easy to set dead level. I float a piece of wood in the garden water tank. Place level on top and press reset. Shows my 4ft spirit level is 1 degree out.

Cancelled my Stabila order, and going digital. Puzzled why they can't make a spirit level without small gaps either side of the bubble.

Going to try this one:

Those are mine. I was angry at the bigger one, cuz when I need it, it always had dead battery (not something special, but you never have at home spare ). So, I bought the small gadget which is powered by 1x AAA battery. But, speaking about precision..... I find them both precise enough for my needs. IMG_20180301_123529 (Large).jpg

Stabila quote "0.5mm accuracy" but trying to account for the bubble being dead centre in the lines is 3mm and some!

Just seen this one, might go and get it.
Does not need to be "Calibrated" like the one I ordered on Amazon and looks more simple to use.
UJK Technology Level Box

@TJExcalibur,
Is yours at zero/level out of the box or does it have to be zeroed each time? They state they should be at absolute zero and the zero function is for moving between different planes or if the surface is not at zero and you just want to use it for reading angles.

Looking at the manual, the Amazon one seems to be the same as a AccuMaster, which on absolute mode you can calibrate it, you do this by putting it on a level surface and going through steps but calibrating it facing you then rotated 180 degrees. The Wixey etc you cannot change the calibration for the absolute mode and is only as good as they set it in the factory and how true the casing/internals are.
Most people use the Wixey in relative mode where it does not matter.

The work around is to use it on relative mode by setting it to Zero on a known level surface as TJ does, however you will need to do this on each power on.

Hi - My early model Wixey once zero,d on a level surface , remembers it -
that is until the battery is removed / replaced

Yes they work slightly differently the earlier models as they use capacitance rather than a MEMS device, so they stay powered up.
The earlier one is also more accurate looking at the specs.

Be interesting to see if yours still shows 0 if you rotate it 180.

My fault for not giving an axis lol, all depends if 0.3 is enough accuracy, that will add up to a few mm over a length such as a metre...
5.2mm if my calcs are correct!
