I'm hoping someone can point help me on this one...
I've got a DVB-S box connected via USB and when I scan I only get 7 channels over and over again (over 500 times)...
ITV in various regions
ITV4
Men and Motors

I've selected Eurobird1 and Astra 2 satellites...

Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

It's a little black non-descript thing from China. It uses the BDA Driver.

The annoying thing is it picked up 300+ channels in Blaze DTV Player but for some reason (despite wiping my laptop and reinstalling XP three times) it keeps crashing with ntdll.dll errors when scanning...

just make sure you set the lnb freq correctly and try doing a single scan on a known transponder frequency

Cool, hadn't tried that one, I'm downloading it now.

I've tried both ProgDVB and something called 'Winclip' and both, although recognising the device, are only finding 5 channels.

I gave up on DVBDream as that kept saying it couldn't initialise the device.

Many thanks, could you advise how to do that in ProgDVB? Is it under device or 'Scan transponder'

Really appreciate the advice.

I've just checked and under options there isn't a hardware option to select?

Cool, I've downloaded it. It looks good but when I selected Eurobird/Astra 2 and scanned it didn't find anything at all.

For signal levels it says at the top L=75% Q=83%.

Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

I had a reply from Blaze about the app keep crashing and they suggested switching off DEP in Control Panel. I have XP Home so had to edit my boot.ini file but that didn't work. As it crashes when scanning all frequencies, the only way of getting channels is to scan each frequency individually, even then the app sometimes just closes...
It's strange that the app was working fine a few months ago and all of a sudden it just keeps crashing, even with a fresh install of XP...
This time I scanned and got Channel4 and Film4. If you close the app and run ProgDVB it then gets those channels over and over again on every frequency it scans... bit strange. It's like receiver box only locks to a frequency in Blaze DTV and won't change the frequency it's scanning in the other apps...
