This set up was put up in October last year next door to where I work.The dish always moved around in medium winds.But now you can see whats happened.There is no one ever at the unit and its a multi lnb set up so not sure of it use,

Well that certainly deserved to come down, not enough space between the brackets and the top bracket too close to the top of the brickwork.

...and nylons with coach screws. I'd be putting in some sort of anchor bolts for a rig of that size.

..If I'd installed that ...errr botch up ...I'd be hanging my head in shame..

always overkill with the brackets ..the bolts ...and the pole imo ...
calculate what you need ..and double it.
at least ..thats my philosophy.

Longer pole should have been used to have spacing between the brackets and definitely anchor bolts should have been used.

As there seems to be no one at the unit I have offered to the site manager that I will take it down foc for safety reasons,Could be another dish to add to the collection

It is just one brick that has failed (probably cracked when the bolt was tightened).

It also looks like an aluminium mast (16') which would flex micely with a dish and yagi sitting on the top.

But I agree with the others above, there should be more space between the two mounts, ideally there should be four of them spaced 60cms apart.

That looks like the typical install of the Company i used to work for

I'm guessing it was one of the larger companies that installed it as they never have any quality control, as nothing ever gets checked and when it is bought up by one of the engineers working on it, its usually swept under the carpet, especially if the system is out of warranty.

The people that put the rigs up are usually not qualified or trained either and are on price work, so things like doing the job properly doesn't even come into it, they are more concerned with getting up as many as they can in one day.

Makes a complete mockery of the profession. I have seen rigs like that installed by the previous company i worked for. Over and over again they have been badly installed, leading to them coming down when the wind gets over 10mph

I would Like to add that none of my rigs have ever come down, as i have conscience unlike my old manager, Gavin

Well they have re installed the dish with a some what small dish and a new position.Its only a single lnb set up now.It looks a little safer than the last install

Still, if it's a circular feed Quatro LNb on a small zone1, then that would be madness for an IRS.
Difficult to see from the picture quality, certainly a Mk4 dish. It is however, possible they have used a quad into a q2 switch.
