Out of zone reception - NSS6 @ 95E - Ku band.

With 160cm primefocus and apropriate feedhorn/lnb, today I've received several transponders fron NSS6 INDIA beam!

11172H, 12638V, 12688V are quite strong and good quality. Others are weak and dropping, but it should be noted, LNB is not perfectly aligned, need new holder...

I've moved dish to 83E - and surprisingly, all frequencies of TATA SKY package were receivable! and unlike 95E - signal strength is much, much greater!

Tata Sky is indeed much stronger, even received in Greece on 2.40m all frequencies. Thanks for 95E.

I can receive in Iran with 85CM dish but i have problem in nights.signals isn't stable.
I should say with invereo LNB ,all signals are ok

Yes it can but I need a very good LNB.

I don't know, but all my spectacular records from C band were made using CHEAPEST available C band LNB, when compared to 5 times more expensive one, difference was neglible, barely reaching 2% in signal Q.

Look my friend, there is no BEST LNB. It depends on the particular piece you get and it may work in another dish of same size better or worse. One German DXer recently said: Get a bag full of LNBs and test them. It doesn't depend on how expensive the LNB is nor when it was produced. Another DXer some years ago made a test and found out that an 10+ year old LNB with 0.7dB noise figure worked much better on fringe reception than all the 0.1/0.2dB stuff new on the market. I know it's hard to install a bigger dish in Tehran but that's the most effective way to rise the G/T value which in final let's your C/N rise and the signal quality of your receiver. The sensitivity of the receiver on weak signals is the next point. Some receivers are not ideal for DX reception, others work very well.

two questions .tatasky is transmitted on KU-band .did you recieve tatasky frequencies with your C band LNB or a universal one or Ku-band one.
did you use a decoder and were you able to watch the channels.
i am down in tasmania and with my 2.4 m dish and C band LNB i do get NSS-6 signals.though i dont have the necessary decoder.I am able to get all FTA channels on C band though

Do you think dishtv or tatasky or sundirect will work in australia? or anybody please who have installed any of the above india dth service please share your experience that is appreciable. As, I have brought sundirect dth receiver which is on Insat4b but I discovered later that this sartelite is not covered by australia.
But I would like to know if anybody has any luck ? please do mention and what equipment? thanks in advance

Arwsf9374 See this is not much amazing for Europeans and Indians as we both get there satellites and they get our satellites.

For Example we in india get Hotbird+Eurobird 9A,10E,16E and even Nilesat @7West.

Suppose you are on Borders of Australia near Sea means towards Indian Southern side towards Sri Lanka you have Open SEA area there you have pretty good chance to get the INDIAN signals using a 5 M dish.

No one beleaves we in INDIA get FULL signal in KERLA State which comes on Western Side of India (Near SEA) and that is nowhere near to the footprints of European satellites.

There all European satellites come on 2M dish
Same they are receiving our satellites NSS6,Tata etc. But Australia is too far from Indian footprint. Only C band covers Australia like Asiasat .

you have to first look are you above Horizon or below horizon for indian satellite.

I have a KVH M9 with Quad LNB. My vessel is in the footprint for NSS6 North East Asia spot beam, but have had no success tracking the satellite. I have checked operation of the skew motor and RF cables. The signal level showing on the MCU peaks at around 1980, but when it attempts to enter tracking and check the network ID, all I get is the message "RF: N, No Lock." Anyone know what could cause this?

with Sab120 (107 cm) offset antenna and Inverto Black Ultra. 12.688 is the strongest but the signals are weak and mostly lost during day time. They are stronger at night. A friend from Samsun, which is in the middle part of North of Turkey can get stable signal from the below frequencies with 170 prime focus antenna.
