After the sad demise of my Panasonic TU-DSB30 (The software syndrome) I have been offered two replacements from my Dealer in the UK.
The first is the Pace 2600 and the second one is the Pace 1000 "mini-box".
Not much difference in the price but I wondered which performs best on weak signals.
I am in the West of Austria with a 1.25 meter dish and am not allowed to put up a bigger one.
Bearing in mind the old "panny" worked very well until the software upgrades I am wondering which to go for.
I would be very greatful for any advice.

No difference to talk of in regards to weak signal tolerance. Actually I wouldn't be surprised to find they shared the same tuners. Minibox has better 'usefulness' ie 12v, gr8 for the caravaners. 2600 is superior in pretty much every other way! its faster, cheaper (on Ebay) and is far more readily available.

Cheers

I have both in the Costa del Sol. 2600C1 in the bedroom and 1000 in the living room. There is no difference that I can see between them. Both are superior to my previous panasonic 30s.

One advantage for the 2600 is the 2 scarts

Thanks for all the advice Guys.
If the low signal handling is about the same I am now tempted to go for the 2600 because of the 2 scarts and audio out sockets.
Many thanks
