Pace minibox as first and only box

Eurosat are selling (to asa installers) for 94 pounds and including a quatro lnb,and a free walkman, the Pace minibox.Ok so it only has one scart socket,my question is,is there any reason that this box cannot be used as the one and only box at your address?.At this price this is a subsidised box so must be used with a second subscription,Yes?.Next question,how much is a unsubsidised Pace minibox?.Will this Pace minibox work fully in a weak signal area,any ideas,I await your replies....thanks...brian
