PACE MSS300 for FTA card activation

Howdy folks,

Does anyone know if I can use a PACE MSS300 for S*K*Y freesat card activation? It's the blue card with a yellow house which I now have from S*K*Y but intend to use in a non-s*k*y box.

Hi asv89guni, your MSS300 is an analogue receiver, so it won't work with the Sky Digital card, you will need a Sky Digibox to activate it

Don't throw out the MSS300, it's a damned good analogue box, very handy for finding some satellites that still carry analogue channels...

So's mine, and as PoloMint said, it's an analogue box...

If you went back in time with it you could use it for sky analogue in VideoCrypt encryption....

You can still use it you know, plenty of Analogue channels still left, I have my MSS300 to my left at the moment (lack of a Universal LNB though, the dish that's here is only an Enhanced type) and works very well, although it is my 2nd one as the first went up in smoke...
