I've got a panasonic G10 which has built in freeview and freesat and you are also can access other sat's it comes with a ci slot but nothing in the manual about it.

Does anyone know if it can be used for non sky services (ie sat packages in europe)

All Panasonic TVs with Satellite tuners and CI slots will take any cam and work like a satellite receiver.

There is no problem with the hardware, but the software is poor if you want to use these Panasonic TVs for general satellite reception.

I have cut this off the international thread as it is a UK based question

Sounds good Ive got all the Astra 19 & hotbird channels logged into the other channel system. Just needed to work out what I would need to access some of these channels. As on another forum I was told that this was for DTT (Top up TV/ ESPN) only?

I can confirm it works but there is almost nothing left on 13°e & 19°e that can be unscrambled without a paid for subscription card.

Some Canal Digitaal channels on 19°e were available with a Diablo cam for a few days recently but these have gone secure again.

I can confirm that my 50 inch G10 is 'seeing' my diablocam v2.3 (horizons firmware) and I'm currently clearing Channel 4 HD with this combo ...with a sly freesat card inserted..
I haven't tried it with any other firmware ...but this would indicate that any compatible card ..recognised by horizon firmware ..would in theory clear that partcular encryption.

It could also be assumed that since the G10 is happy and can interface ok with the diablo ...that any working emu based firmware (underworld etc) ..would also clear channels..
hope this helps..

Bit all confusing for me.

Quite a newbie.

I see a lot of ad's for sport and XXX but using a cam. (do you then place a card into the cam slot)
