Hi, thinking of buying a new Panasonic TX 42PV10B TV with a built in satellite card. I am told by Panasonic that the TV does not have any built in diseq switching capability. I was going to fit a monoblock dual LNB & 80 cm dish with one down cable. Will this work, and if so, is there anyway I can switch between LNB's using the built in diseq in the monoblock?

No because the receiver controls the switching not the monobloc.

The only after-market manufacturer I know of (since Global dropped the DGEN4) is EMP.cz

TPS used to have them in stock.

Alternatively you could use 2 separate lnb's mounted on a single dish , with two runs of coaxial cable fed into a good old fashioned A-B switch in the tv room. This would mean manually switching between the two satellites . Bit of a pain getting up all the while to change satellites but that's what we did in the good old days.

Still do!

I've two in use and it was not even an onerous task to train SWMBO to push the "proud" button if her selected Channel was AWOL.

She might have been more interested in the last viewed 'erotic channel' on t'other satellite.
