Tried a search here and Google with no joy.
I have a Paradise CAM which worked fine with an official card for a year. The card has now expired and I have a new offical Irdeto card and want to know if the paradise Cam will be able to work with it?

Does it need updating? If so, how?

Sorry if I am missing something here.
Have you tried to insert the official IRDETO card into the Paradise CAM and see if the channel opens or perhaps you are worried that it might harm the card ?
If the channel opens then you don't need to mess about with the CAM.
 
Sounds like it is a rebadged standard CAM, what information does it have writen on it and what does it say about it in the Conditional Access menu of your receiver?

If you have the CAM and the new card, have you tried it and it hasn't worked?
