This has happened twice now, the first time a short while before Christmas and tbh I thought I had deleted cookis I wasn't supposed to.

The latest one was last night and I wasn't near the screen at the time, I returned to find all sites I use with a password had been reset.

Some can be brought beack to life using the Google 'wallet' but others have a request to the appropriate site by email, and some of those have been active before I last used this email address which makes things awkward.
I don't do social media and so any other password keepsake - Facebook -is not the reason

So, has anyone else been cleaned out of their after dinner entertainment in a similar fashion and know why ?

You mean the browser no longer has the password stored and you need to type it in again or has the password itself been reset and you need to recover it?

First looks like deleted history, second seems far more serious like someone has access to your PC?

Thank you for the quick reply, I think it is the former, though I do have to go through password reset/update on sites that are not covered by the google memory system, ten so far.
 
I had that happen after an OS update from microslut, I had to log back in on this site and others.
 
Having the browser forget all stored passwords doesn't seem a security issue but rather a software bug after update or, more likely, the result of wiping the browser history. If you delete all cookies you need to login again, if you by accident delete the passwords, too, well you have to write them again.
The worries are If the STORED passwords no longer work because they were changed. This would mean, I presume, that your PC was used by someone else who hijacked all accounts.
 
Microshit system updates often resets many things, sometimes not obvious things, and deletes what it thinks is junk so that might be the reason.
