@s-band I really love your dish and am following the thread with keen interest

Obviously this is a massive project which will take a lot of hard work and time to get it how you want it, but curious if you have put any time frame on completion of the project ? nothing official, just something in your own mind

Thanks for sharing and look forward to further updates

Thanks for the interest. I'm not sure. It takes me a while to work out what to do. At the moment I'm collecting ideas but I can't see a way of doing what I want within the funds available. It was an opportunistic, rather than planned, buy. Bits of the house are falling apart so I need to fix that first. I've still got to finish the CM 1.8 as well. I hope I'll be able to get the Patriot together in 6 months or so.

Apparently, all 5 dishes have now been sold. Where are the other 4? Anyone want to admit to having one?

I´m sure you can convince the wife ( ? ) that the 3.8 dish will protect the leaking roof:D

Pentagonal? That's an interesting Gregorian style dish there.... Wonder how much it all costs!

I have the same (or similar ) drum for the 3.1 Patriot I installed many, many moons ago.

I welded it to some angle iron at the correct declination and onto an Ajak H-to H motor. It's still in the garden as I cant be bothered to move it around to the front of the house.

Yours if needed.

Hi, Can you pls post a pic of your motorized mount pls ?

I`m one of those a few lucky ones...
So I may say i`m a proud owner of a Patriot PRT-380, Patriot PRT-500 but also a Prodelin 1375-990 and other Prodelin dishes mostly of size from 2.4 to 3m. But it doesn`t matter anyway...

BTW. All dishes are stored at my brother`s place I`ll soon move to.

As you can see, all those dishes are brand new.

Very very nice indeed, very envious lol.
Any chance of a pic looking into the front of the Cband square section polariser, would love to know what method of transition is used.

It came in a box of surplus feeds and is a WG13/WR159 feed with some kind of tuneable OMT. The WG is for 4.9-7.05G but I'm not sure what it will actually cover.

Good to see you on this thread. I knew that the fixings are stainless but I didn't realise that the ribs are aluminium on the 5m. It looks very nice.

I've been thinking about the 3.8 mount and looking at things like NEW 80mm ADR Stub Axle, 8 stud, , either with a laser cut 6-10mm steel disk (circa £150) or a 28" tractor wheel for the azimuth. 11 x 28 Tractor Wheel Rim David Brown 880 885 Ford 2000 3000 Massey Ferguson 135

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

The transfer port mentioned will cover the uplink C band frequencies including the 5cm amateur (AMSAT ?) band.

One of the imges Satosk has posted is a mechanical waveguide for circular to linear conversion.
