Is it possible to upgrade to SKY HD, £10.25 pcm, without also upgrading to SKY+ at another £10.25 pcm??

As far as I am aware the £10 Sky+ subscription applies only to Freesat customers, otherwise it's part of your package. When I upgraded it was just an additional £10/month.
 
The record facility is part of the subscriptiojn - the tenner only applies to freesatfromsky folk who want the record functionality on their boxes.
 
Yep, £10.25 month gets you a brand new HD box which includes all the Ѕky+ recording features.

But if you have an old single feed dish they will want to install a dual feed dish and charge you for installation. If you don't want a dual feed dish you can get Ѕky to send you the Ѕky HD box for free. But you don't get the Ѕky+ recording features with a single feed set up.
 
You are highly unlikely to get the self install option if you are not already a Sky+ customer (as stated on the terms and conditions for the self install option)

Same number as usual.

Different level of bargaining.
 
I sent them emails. It took four emails over two days to get them to agree to send a free Ѕky HD box.

I argued that they install HD boxes in flats with a communal single feed.
