Paying with a foreign visa card

Hi,(newbie question i,m afraid)
Can i use my dutch issued visa card to pay for a Sky subscription? Upgrading from a freesat card. Ill get me brother in England to phone in the details.
I read a thread a while back where some people had problems.
Advice gratefully accepted.

You should be OK, they won't upgrade the existing card, they will send you a new one and it will need to be activated by phoning them. :)

What information do Sky need when i (my brother) phones in to register the card?
 
They normally ask for the Version Number and Serial Number of the box, plus the viewing card number.

Make sure that you have the card in the box and that it is switched on when he does it. :)

Rolf thanx for the quick and clear answer.
I'll give one of the cheapo subscriptions a try (choice of 2 variety mixes for 15 quid a month).

its no prob paying with a foreign credit card, i pay for my irish Sky sub every month with an Austrian credit card
