Personalise settings for Sky+ HD

Having been a big user of Tivo for the last few years my unit finally died so I upgraded to Sky+ HD. One really annoying feature of Sky+ is that when forwarding or rewinding from a recorded program, as soon as you press play it starts from wherever you've got to (which if you're using the 30x fast forward can be a good way past where you wanted it to stop). On Tivo it used to stop forwarding and then reverse by about 20 seconds so that you never missed the start.

Does anyone know if it is possible to re-program Sky+ to make it more user friendly?

You cannot reprogramme Sky + boxes in any way shape or form. Live with it or go back to tivo :D
 
Yes, there a few little imperfections, but as Analoguesat says, there is little you can do about them, apart from writing to Sky and asking them to address the issues.

Despite some of these shortcomings, I still feel that it is one of the best integrated receiver/PVRs around.
