'Phone call

I gave up Sky recently and have just had a 'phone call offering the service again at half price and contract free. I didn't ask for how long.
Just wondering if anyone else has received a similar call.
I said put it in writing and was told it was to be set up by this means over the 'phone.
Not sure if it was a scam. The call was from a call centre and by a Scotsman. Appeared to be genuine. Just wondering. Too old to be 'conned'

I think they often do that, usually 3 months, I think.

...mate of mine moved house and because of his foreign travel with work cancelled his subscription.

As a result, Sky offered him a £40 full package for £10 a month - just like newspapers needing circulation to warrant high advertising rates, Sky still need the viewers to get their advertising revenue in.

Just had another call from the nice people of Sky. Half price for one year with no contract. Too good to miss.
