Found this picture of my old (first!) dish back in 2005, mounted on an old wooden (rotten) weather station post in my parents garden before I moved out. Thought I'd share :D
 
Nothing wrong with that - a nice basic install that anyone could copy if they wanted to join our wonderful hobby for minimal cost :)
 
Or failing that.. my first first dish.. (which got too bent to use after a while, and was thus replaced by minidish)

Just about got a watchable 19.2e analogue picture

Oh dear that one does look at little the worse for wear doesnt it?

I started off with a 60 cm dish on 3 bricks (or a snowdrift in the winter a couple of times! Ive got a picture somewhere of the dish perched in a snowdrift whilst searching for Anatolia 1 at 50E in :-lmao
