Good afternoon.

This is my current set up

1m dish with Technomate TM 5400 + USB SUPER

Pointed at Hellas sat @ 39 degress.

Receiving standard format chanels

I have Panasonic HD ready TV.

The picture quality of all channels is pretty poor. I can see that the picture is made of of little squares. It is not very crisp and clear.

Is there anything I can do to resolve this? Are there any problems?

EVerytime i change chanels the Technomate recognises the signal/quality ( not sure which ) at aroud 82%.

Can you be more specific? What are you watching? 82% should be very watchable. If it is breaking up into squares it could be happening on the link up (if this is sport) or could be because there are too many channels on one transponder.

The channels are not breaking up but the picure is not clear and crisp as with say freeview.... The individual sqs can be seen whn you look at the screen.

Also would i get a better picture quality of i change to hotbird at 13 degrees?

To me they just look like typical low budget programs, probably filmed with a camcorder, in fact my camcorder produces much better quality images than that. Maybe people who make programs about basket weaving aren't too bothered about image quality.

Some of the programs are but I am referring to news broadcasts as well where quality at production is better
