though many would consider it planet 10. They've found something that might be the undiscovered bit of rock inside the solar system.

Since astronomers are finding exoplanets at an alarming rate using data pulled some three years ago, it does question why they are not using the technology to find stuff a bit closer to home.
 
Interesting but a bit wacky, if there was a black hole at the edge of the solar system, then we would be in orbit around it , not the Sun.
 
Not really, a bowling ball sized black hole could have a similar gravity well as a small planet, so the barycentre could be the same.

There is really not much to distinguish between them, except the abililty to scoop up residual objects nearby , (where they disappear in a black hole, or might give out some light when they impact on a very cold planetary object after hitting a much larger radius).

It would be interesting to know if a large enough object captured by a small black hole affects its orbit/trajectory, since this might be a way to detect these things out there once 'Terryl's Oort Hotel and Vacation Complex with 2400/700 bar' is up and running.

I thought about the possibility of an Oort hotel or a way out land years ago, but the 60+ year round trip for you guys would make it a bit of a trip, that is until you all develop your own blink drive.

And I think the theoretical smallest mass for a black hole would be the Planck mass, (Planck constant - Wikipedia) now if you put in several gigaton's of dark matter it could get much smaller.
 
The very small black holes, formed at the beginning of the universe during the big bang, would have long since ceased to exist having radiated away their mass as Hawking radiation.
