please how to unpack image Dreambox
dont need to do back-up i need to uncompress image to add some script and compressed again

For exemple xxxx.img i need to extract all Directory bin/var/etc/usr..... and after compressed to get xxxxx.img and flashed the Dm500 with it

The best way to modify an image is to compile it from scratch. The easiest way to do this is to use a truly opensource image like OpenPli. They provide all the required scripts and a detailed how-to on setting up the environment on Ubuntu for all the dreamboxes (Enigma1 and Enigma2) and VU. Once you have done that you can get the daily updates by a simple "make image". You then also have ALL the source files (except for drivers and other proprietry bits) on your machine and can modify and build your image as you see fit (be careful that updates don't overwrite your changes).
 
thank you, but I don't need new image for compile, I have made my image backup by dreamUP, now I'd like to extract it, I like to play with squasg unsquash, probably I need to decompress jsff2 partition
