Advice Needed Please, wrong initial on a cheque ?

Hi, my wife received a cheque today for several thousand pounds, my wife's name is Elizabeth liz for short, the cheque says pay L ***** not E, I know it would be easy to change the L to a E, but we don't want to do this,

Do you think this could be a problem please with banking it ?, thanks in advance for any information.

If the bank knows that your wife is called Elizabeth, then I'm sure they'll understand the L. being for Liz, the mother's also called Elizabeth and hasn't got that issue...
