how do i PM other members ? Do need to set something or other i cannot find any way to do this.thanks for your time.

Unless you have a very good and pressing reason, PMs are not normally enabled until you've got a record of twenty or so Posts.

Most matters should be discussed in open Forum but, if you have need of an Installer or something like that, dispensation can be granted subject to Admin approval.

We had to restrict pm availability to new members after it was hijacked by spammers a couple of times. You will get access when you have a minimum number of posts (~20 although I can never remember the exact number) AND have been a member for a month or so.

Access is occasionally granted earlier for specific reasons so if you think you need it then ask

Put a question on the end of the relevant thread.

Under forum rules ALL negotiations must take place on the relevant thread up to the point when a sale is agreed. Then and only then will we turn on pm for members involved so contact details can be swapped in private..

that would be difficult now as he pulled the ad as i think you know LOL. But i would have thought that some one who did that would have at least answered the post wouldn't you especially as all i wanted to do was buy the meter. I think i would have taken the time to do that and i would like to think you would too as would most of the members here i hope.
And there is a bright side to this little story at least i will soon have the required post's ;)

Ah I see.

He did answer you - the meter is no longer for sale (probably sold elsewhere)

We remove posts after an item is withdrawn so sellers arent hassled. It must have been removed before you got to see it.

If it was the Horizon USB Plus, then I closed the Thread earlier as he did reply and said it was no longer for sale.

The Thread has simply been moved to a Withdrawn/Completed Sales part of the same Forum, which a simple search would have revealed - either using the topic key words, or looking at your own Posts or simply looking at the New Posts.

That's because this is an open section (the one and only on the forum!) and any posts here don't count. It's open because if someone DOES have a problem logging in they wouldn't have anywhere else to post!
