how is the range of this polar mount? is it 90east to 90 west or more than that?

I am sure you've asked this before a few times already in several other threads....

Without any sort of information provided about the tiny screenshot that you've attached, it's difficult to even start guessing. However, as I am a resourceful chap, I recognise a Laminas polar mount... According to their official site, the PM has a range of around 110 degrees but will probably be more. An Italian company sells a modified version of this mount, which has a longer range of 130 degrees.

Why would anybody wish more than 90E to 90W ?

I am thinking of getting the Laminas polar mount, but the 110 degree range will mean I won´t be able to get 57 E on it as it is 0 - 55 either way. Not too much of a loss, or could get the modified one, but it is not cheap from that site.
How difficult would it be to modify one if I bought one direct from Laminas?
 
110 degrees doesn't mean that it's 55 either way. All depends on due south satellite and fixing points. This is what the Italian firm does - simply adds more fixing points to the PM.


That said, this is one of the reasons why I decided against a PM. At extremes, the pulse count is reduced per degree and the whole thing becomes unstable and wobbly. I considered getting a PM from SSS for my CM but having spoken to Dave, the arc would be around +/- 50 degrees - nowhere near enough where I can get to 53E at one end and unlimited to the west (but realistically need 58W at least).
 
I wish I spoke Italian, I might have some chance of what he was saying!
I based my assumption on my location ( 0.7 W ) but from what you say I could be struggling to get near 50 either way?
 
You're not far off me... so yeah, +/-55 is probably your limit, unless you are willing to sacrifice one side in favour of the other.

But the H2H mounts are really hard to come by for large dishes.
So the only real solution is *two* large dishes on polar mounts, each serving westerns and eastern 60 degrees sectors from due south.
