I can't seem to get any information off port 16001. I have transferred cccaminfo into /var/etc. Do I need to set up this port in cccam.cfg

I had the same problem when I first used Cccaminfo. I just removed the # from WEBINFO LISTEN PORT : 16001 in Cccam.cfg, although ISTR the defaults for Cccam.cfg should allow 16001 to open anyway.

still no joy. when i go into blue panel and check softcam setup i see that it says 'cardserver=none'. why would this be? i wonder if this is the problem. is it necessary to have the card in the reader at all to check the setup

What image are you running ?

Normally in the blue panel you would expect to see CCcam as the active Cam Emu.
If it's not running then you will get no response on port 16001.

BOXKEY : /dev/sci0 AA AA AA AA

F: 12000 user pass
TELNETINFO LISTEN PORT : 16000
WEBINFO LISTEN PORT : 16001

CCCAM 2.1.4 is my only and default and active EMU

Ignore post. I had originall put in webinfo port and this didn't work. So then i included telnetinfo port. It still didn't work but once I restarted the box I now have information on 16000 and 16001. Thanks for the help. I don't like changing the nature of the thread but I wonder can someone confirm when I set up a cs if I need to port forward on my router port 12000 to mydreamboxip or does the remote box somehow manage to locate the box by means of specifying port 12000 in the Cline

fintanni, if you're hosting on 12000 then you'll need to forward the port, otherwise no one will connect to it from outside your lan.
